Clay Amulets & Beads – Your Jewellery Piece

This ceramic workshop will take place at Werkstatt 22, part of the well-known Atelier 22 in Celle. A creative space for artists and makers, Werkstatt 22 provides an inspiring and welcoming environment to explore artistic expression.

What to expect: A hands-on, creative session where you will design and craft your own clay amulets and beads. Personal symbols, patterns, and textures turn into unique jewellery pieces – whether to wear yourself or to gift to someone special.

Workshop phases:  

• Welcome & Inspiration – arrival, a welcome drink, and first design ideas  

• Shaping – forming your amulets and beads step by step  

• Decorating – adding textures, symbols, and underglaze colours  

• Sharing – enjoying the creative atmosphere and presenting the works

What you will receive during the workshop:

• Welcome drinks and small snacks  

• All tools and materials, including clay, underglaze paints, engobes, and instruments  

• Friendly step-by-step guidance on shaping and decorating

What you will receive after the workshop:

Your handmade amulets and beads will be carefully dried, bisque-fired at approx. 1000 °C, glazed (transparent or coloured, as you prefer), and fired again at approx. 1050 °C. Finished works will be ready for pick-up about 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

Ticket price: €45.00 per person, or bring a friend and enjoy the workshop for €40.00 per person.  

Youth (10 years and above): €5.00 (only together with an adult ticket).

Note: This workshop is open to all ceramics enthusiasts. Adults can join with or without children. Youth participation (10 years and above) is welcome, but only together with an accompanying adult. Independent participation of minors is not possible. No prior experience is required - just bring your creativity and enjoy the process!

The workshop requires a minimum of 5 participants. If this number is not reached, or in case of illness, the event may be cancelled. In such cases, tickets will be fully refunded. Cancellations by participants up to 7 days before the event will be fully refunded; later cancellations are non-refundable unless a replacement participant is found.

Language: The workshop will be conducted mostly in German (B2 level), with a sprinkle of English here and there. Let’s learn and create together - language is no barrier to creativity!
