Clay & Wine Night – A Celebration of Love

This “Clay & Wine Night” will take place at Werkstatt 22, part of the well-known Atelier 22 in Celle. The studio offers an inspiring and welcoming setting for a creative and romantic evening in good company.

What to expect: A cosy, hands-on Valentine’s session: together we create hanging wall pieces decorated with hearts, flowers, and patterns – a unique memory or a heartfelt gift for someone you love. All this while enjoying a glass of wine (or a non-alcoholic option). Unwind, create, and celebrate love and creativity in a relaxed atmosphere.

Workshop phases:

• Welcome & Inspiration – a glass of wine, introduction, and first Valentine’s ideas

• Shaping – forming your wall pieces step by step

• Decorating – adding hearts, flowers, patterns, and underglaze colours

• Sharing – enjoying the romantic atmosphere and presenting the works

What you will receive during the workshop:

• Two glasses of carefully selected wine (or a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail)

• Small snacks

• All tools and materials, including clay, underglaze paints, engobes, and instruments

• Friendly step-by-step guidance on shaping and decorating

What you will receive after the workshop:  

Your handmade Valentine’s pieces will be carefully dried, bisque-fired at approx. 1000 °C, glazed (transparent or coloured, as you prefer), and fired again at approx. 1050 °C. Finished works will be ready for pick-up about 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

Note: This workshop is open to all ceramics enthusiasts. Adults are warmly welcome, as well as youth aged 16 and above (without consumption of alcoholic beverages). No prior experience is required - just bring your creativity and enjoy the process! The workshop requires a minimum of 5 participants. If this number is not reached, or in case of illness, the event may be cancelled. In such cases, tickets will be fully refunded. Cancellations by participants up to 7 days before the event will be fully refunded; later cancellations are non-refundable unless a replacement participant is found.

Language: The workshop will be conducted mostly in German (B2 level), with a sprinkle of English here and there. Let’s learn and create together - language is no barrier to creativity!

Workshop Details: Celebrate love and creativity by crafting unique ceramic wall pieces! In this Valentine’s edition, participants will shape and decorate hanging pieces inspired by hearts, flowers, and romantic patterns, guided by professional techniques demonstrated by Veselina Kupenova, the artist behind Veseto Ceramics. We will decorate with underglaze paints and engobes – natural ceramic-coloured mixtures that are entirely non-toxic, lead-free, and safe for use, ensuring both vibrant results and an eco-friendly artistic experience.

This workshop is perfect for couples, friends, or anyone who wants to celebrate love and enjoy working with their hands. You’ll have the chance to design and make personal ceramic pieces that reflect affection, creativity, and your own style.
