This ceramic workshop will take place at Werkstatt 22, part of the well-known Atelier 22 in Celle. A creative space for artists and makers, Werkstatt 22 provides an inspiring and welcoming environment to explore artistic expression.

What to expect:

A festive and creative hands-on session where you will shape and decorate your own ceramic Christmas ornaments. Explore various shaping, texturing, and decorating techniques.

What you will receive during the workshop:

Welcome drinks and snacks, all necessary tools and materials, including clay, underglaze paints, engobes, and instruments, and guidance on shaping and decorating.

What you will receive after the workshop:

Your handmade ceramic Christmas ornaments, professionally glazed and kiln-fired.

Language: The workshop will be conducted mostly in German (B1 level), with a sprinkle of English here and there. Let’s learn and create together - language is no barrier to creativity!

Workshop Details:

Get into the holiday spirit by creating one-of-a-kind ceramic Christmas ornaments! In this workshop, participants will shape their unique designs, guided by professional techniques demonstrated by Veselina Kupenova, the artist behind Veseto Ceramics.

We will decorate with underglaze paints and engobes – natural ceramic-coloured mixtures that are entirely non-toxic, lead-free, and safe for use, ensuring both vibrant results and an eco-friendly artistic experience.

After the workshop, all pieces will be carefully dried, biscuit-fired at approximately 1000°C, glazed with a transparent or coloured glaze of your choice, and fired again at around 1050°C. Your finished ornaments will be ready for pickup within 2 to 3 weeks after the event.

This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to create personalised holiday decorations, whether for your own Christmas tree or as heartfelt handmade gifts. No prior experience is needed - just bring your creativity and enjoy the festive atmosphere!
