This ceramic workshop will take place at Werkstatt 22, part of the well-known Atelier 22 in Celle. A creative space for artists and makers, Werkstatt 22 provides an inspiring and welcoming environment to explore artistic expression.

What to expect:

A hands-on session where you’ll craft a personalized ceramic watercolour palette and brush rest, then choose a glaze finish for a unique touch.

Welcome drinks and snacks, plus all necessary tools and materials, including clay, various stamps, engobes, and instruments.

What you will receive after the workshop:

Your personalised handmade ceramic watercolor palette and brush rest, professionally glazed and kiln-fired.

Language: The workshop will be conducted mostly in German (B1 level), with a sprinkle of English here and there. Let’s learn and create together - language is no barrier to creativity!

Workshop Details:

Discover the joy of handcrafting your own ceramic watercolour palette! In this workshop, participants will shape a custom ceramic palette, ideal for mixing watercolours, gouache, or ink. To make each piece special, you’ll have the option to engrave your initials, a symbol, or a personal message into the clay before firing.

Additionally, you will create a matching brush rest designed to hold your brushes while you paint. Once shaped, you can choose from a selection of glazes to finish your piece, ensuring that your palette is functional and uniquely yours.

After the workshop, all pieces will be carefully dried, biscuit-fired at approximately 1000°C, glazed with a transparent or colored glaze of your choice, and fired again at around 1050°C. Your finished items will be ready for pickup within 2 to 3 weeks after the event.
