Meet Johanna, a delicate ceramic bird whose wings carry the subtle, beautiful hues of a spring sky - a blend of soft grey and calm blue. She is a soulful character created to be a messenger of hope and a symbol of the quiet, enduring strength that connects us all. Johanna announces the arrival of brighter days and new beginnings - just like spring's spirit.
Lovingly handcrafted from natural white clay, this brooch is designed to bring a touch of grace and optimism to your outfit. Whether pinned to a favourite coat, a denim jacket, or a scarf, Johanna is a gentle companion that reminds us to keep our hearts open to the beauty of the coming season. Each piece is hand-sculpted with precision and undergoes a meticulous two-step firing process: a bisque fire at 1000°C, followed by a high-temperature glaze firing at 1180°C, to ensure exceptional durability and a rock-solid finish.
To achieve the subtle grey-blue tones and glossy texture, I use only professional, high-quality glazes and materials that are lead-free and non-toxic. For your peace of mind and the safety of your garment, the metal pin on the back is double-secured with a high-strength adhesive and further reinforced with a layer of UV resin for maximum longevity.
Each piece is hand-painted and unique, allowing for slight variations that enhance its character. It was lovingly created in my ceramic studio in Celle, Germany.
